DAILY’S PLACE TO WELCOME RAPPER BIG SEAN IN APRIL
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Bold Events and Live Nation today announced that Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum recording artist Big Sean and the “Unfriendly Reminder” tour will make a stop at Daily’s Place on April 15 at 7 p.m. The amphitheater performance will also feature support from rapper Playboi Carti with opening sets from Shy Glizzy and GASHI. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at www.dailysplace.com beginning on Friday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m.. Jags365 and Daily’s Rewards Members will have access to presale tickets beginning Thursday, Feb. 8 at 10 a.m.. The “Unfriendly Reminder” tour will celebrate Big Sean’s decade-long career signed to G.O.O.D. Music and pay tribute to his fans. Each fan will be able to vote and choose their top 20 songs for their respective cities and help curate the set list from his entire discography. Voting will be available starting on Thursday, Feb. 8 at uknowbigsean.com.
Big Sean has enjoyed a massive success in hip-hop since he emerged in 2011, with his debut album “Finally Famous” on Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam imprint. The album spun off consecutive top-charted pop/R&B/rap crossover smashes with “My Last” featuring Chris Brown, “Marvin & Chardonnay” featuring Kanye West and Roscoe Dash, and “Dance (A$$)” featuring Nicki Minaj. Sean was a major collaborator on Kanye’s groundbreaking “Cruel Summer” album in 2012, and shared multi-platinum success with Kanye on the Grammy-nominated “Mercy” and “Clique.” Big Sean’s first platinum and first album to debut at No. 1 on Soundscan was “Dark Sky Paradise” in 2015. “I Decided.” was released in February of last year and debuted at No. 1 on the momentum of the two pre-order instant grat tracks that turned into smash singles, “Bounce Back,” and “Moves.” His latest album, “Double or Nothing” was released December 8, 2017 and has 261,376,362 global streams to date.
Daily’s Place opened in May 2017 adjacent to EverBank Field, the home of the National Football League’s Jacksonville Jaguars. A partnership between the Jaguars and the City of Jacksonville, the state-of-the-art facility’s 5,500-seat amphitheater and indoor practice facility welcomed more than 200,000 attendees to events and concerts in 2017.
